Blogging has entered a realm of its own, in the fashion industry. People entering the blogosphere every day, thousands every day. I blog for more than 10 years and had no idea what I was doing. It was called "journaling online" and some called "web logs" or "blithering idiots writing on the Internet." I tried not to blither, but I just did what I knew now and am known for what I have done and will continue to do so: blog.

What's The Difference Between a website and a blog

A Web site is a collection of web pages on a server. It is a form of static billboard on the Internet that this information. There is more to the definition, but for our needs, this is good enough. A web site can be a collection of articles, news, links, news, photos, and anything you want. And even a Web site can accommodate a blog!

A blog is a website or part of a website that is usually one or more of the following criteria:

  • Editorial comment
  • Links to external sites, often regarded as recommendations
  • May or may not be made
  • Tell stories
  • Usually on a specific subject, the object, or gender
  • A tendency to be opinionated and personal
  • Could be regarded as "newsy" rather than "new"
  • Comments and interaction with the public

At one point, a blog would have been called a newspaper, magazine, book, or storytelling. Which brings us back to the expression site.

Many people differentiate a blog on a website. A website is "serious" information, while a blog is "not very serious". A website has facts, figures, articles and educational materials. A blog has a lot of links, talk and comment, as well as facts, figures, articles and educational materials.
